 Head Teacher’s News - Summer 2024

Welcome back to all of our families and I hope you had a peaceful holiday. 

The students have all returned happy and have settled back into routine well. We have also welcomed back Florina from her maternity leave. She has taken over as the teacher in Kew 7. 

We saw an improvement last half-term in students' punctuality at school, so I would like to say thank you to all parents who have made a special effort. I am aware that a number of families struggle to get their child into school in the morning for a variety of reasons, and we want to support you with this.  We appreciate how difficult this is for you, and we would rather your child arrives a little later than not at all.

The first lesson of the day begins at 9.50 and ends at 10.20. If your child arrives after 9.50, you may be asked to wait in reception with them until the end of the first lesson. This is to ensure that the learning for others in the class is not disrupted.

I am delighted to have been successful in becoming the permanent Head Teacher at Oaklands School and look forward to working with you all, to ensure your child has the best possible outcomes.
