Oaklands is an outstanding special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. From September 2018 we have a Primary school (New Oaks), Secondary school (High Oaks) and a specialist independent SEN College provision (Great Oaks). We can cater for students aged from 4 to 25 across the Oaklands group. Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development. In September 2018, we relocated to our purpose built new school building that offers state of the art facilities for our students. In September 2020, the primary and secondary schools will be based on two sites with New Oaks Primary moving back to Woodlands Road once refurbishment is completed.
Due to our rapid and continued expansion, we are looking to appoint two enthusiastic and organised catering assistants to work in our busy kitchen. One of these posts will be for a senior catering assistant who will take on more responsibility. Both roles involve preparing and serving freshly cooked meals to our students. We therefore need candidates who have previous experience of working in a catering environment and who holds a level 2 food hygiene qualification. Pay scales and hours of work:
Senior Catering Assistant: Hounslow Scale 3 (point 5-6), Actual Salary: £13,707 – £13955 per annum.
Hours of work: 27.5 hours per week: 08.30am - 2.30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Part time, term time only, permanent.
Catering Assistant: Hounslow Scale 1, (Point 1), Actual Salary: £6,961 per annum.
Hours of work: 15 hours per week: 11.30am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday .
Contract Type: Part time, term time only, permanent
