Cleaning Team Member

Actual Salary:       £7,878 - £8,164 per annum

Oaklands is an excellent special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. From September 2018 we have a Primary school (New Oaks), Secondary school (High Oaks) and a specialist independent SEN College provision (Great Oaks). We can cater for students aged from 4 to 25 across the Oaklands group. Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development. We recently relocated to our purpose built new school building (close to Osterley Tube Station and other public transport links) that offers state of the art facilities for our students. In time, the primary and secondary schools will be based on two sites with New Oaks Primary moving back to Woodlands Road once refurbishment is completed.

Due to our rapid and continued expansion we are looking to appoint another member of our cleaning team with proven experience in the cleaning industry. You will be required to provide general cleaning services with specific responsibility for ensuring the floors are immaculate. The ability to use scrubbing and buffing machines would be an advantage. The successful person will be expected to provide cover for sickness absence therefore flexibility of working hours between 5pm and 11pm is essential.

We believe that all of our students are capable of making outstanding progress in the right environment and we want to appoint individuals who share our belief. Please refer to the job description and person specification for full details of the role.

We value our employees and offer excellent training and support along with a pension scheme, Employee Assistance Programme and other well-being benefits.

Oaklands is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and anyone applying to work at the school is expected to share this commitment. This position is subject to a satisfactory fully enhanced DBS check and references being received. All positions are subject to the satisfactory completion of a 26 working week probation period.

Details of this post are available on the school’s website:  Visits to the school are welcome. Please contact Rany Kalsi, HR Manager for an appointment on 0208 560 3569.
