Oaklands School provides Sixth Form education for students with a range of learning difficulties. Students have access to a three year curriculum including Maths, English, ICT, Life Skills, Vocational Education, Design Technology, Art, PSHEC, Performing Arts and Sport and Leisure. The Department has long been recognised as Outstanding, by OFSTED.
We have strong and active links with local Colleges and students work at West Thames College and Richmond upon Thames College as part of their program. All students have access to work related learning via an annual Work Experience programme. From September 2010 students will be working on personalised Foundation learning programmes and qualifications will be offered through Laser and NOCN (Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT, Independent Living and Personal Progress).
